Needless to say, I open and close a lot of blogs. You win a "kept Claire's attention for more than two sentences" award. Thanks! I'm going to go skim board books now.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8201961112490811175.post-1348360245200138872009-05-12T20:02:00.000-04:002009-05-12T20:02:00.000-04:00WOW. I'm so glad I have a you to share the "real" mom stuff with. The little creatures, as you put it, that sometimes drive us bananas will really make us feel emotions we never thought we had inside. <br />:) ChrisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8201961112490811175.post-5327465515935925762009-05-09T00:25:00.000-04:002009-05-09T00:25:00.000-04:00I never quite understood the gravity of the situat...I never quite understood the gravity of the situation until now, it makes me love the little Irish boy even more.Gilhttp://gilcelia.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8201961112490811175.post-50559343811059878562009-05-08T11:07:00.000-04:002009-05-08T11:07:00.000-04:00My first child was born early because I developed ...My first child was born early because I developed pre-eclampsia. It didn't go as I had imagined it, and I wasn't able to see my son for the first 12 hours of his life. But it wasn't until my second was born, with no interventions and very quickly, that my partner and I realized how scary the first labor and birth had been and how lucky we were that everything turned out OK. It's scary how we truly don't realize how lucky we are until we are caught completely unaware. I'm so glad your little boy is with you!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13969567138255166449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8201961112490811175.post-61749544068058369112009-05-07T20:42:00.000-04:002009-05-07T20:42:00.000-04:00Liz, I had no idea when I showed you that picture ...Liz, I had no idea when I showed you that picture the other day how horribly wrong things could have gone for your family if that nurse had not been there. Isn't funny that sometimes, were it not for one person's actions, another person's life could head in a totally different and inconceivable direction? I know those tears; I welcome them from time to time when something jogs my memory from something I have buried in the inner depths of myself. They help us understand the wonderful gifts that we enjoy every day and often holler "MOM!"Maria Easterlingnoreply@blogger.com
